Goodbye QUILT2024, Hello QuiltnLearn!
More than 7,500 Quilters joined the Summer Camp event from 17-21 July. Attendees rated it 9.2/10 so it's official - it was a success! VIP Passes are still available for anyone who missed out.
It is always a challenge to think about how to best serve this quilting community. One of the things the feedback revealed is that you would have liked more opportunities to be just that - a community. So I have a question for you:
Would you be interested in joining an online quilting group once or twice a month?
Or
Having a monthly sewcial where you could meet perhaps 1-1 with other quilters for 15-30 minutes to show what you're working on and have a bit of a chat over a cup of tea? "Speed Friending" for Quilters!
I also know from the feedback that you do not like google forms! So here is a one click poll for you to give your opinion.
When I lived in the UK, August was the hottest month and the end of it signalled the start of Autumn and getting ready for the holiday season. I am planning my first ever Black Friday Offer for QuiltnLearn but in the meantime here are some holiday projects you might like to start planning.
- Wendi at Shiny Happy World has an adorable free "spooky cat applique" which can be added to almost any project to introduce some Halloween magic. Her whole site is beautiful and has so many lovely projects. (Photo Credit: Shiny Happy World)
- Leila Gardunia (who taught at our July event) has a free Scrappy Maple Leaves Quilt Pattern which is not only a great intro to foundation paper piecing but also a great scrap buster. Plus she gives you 8 block layout options, all producing beautiful and different quilts! (Photo Credit: Leila Gardunia)
- Carolina Moore (also a July teacher) has a free Winter Big Stitch Mini Quilt pattern which could be adapted for almost any holiday. The pattern features a snowflake, but it could be a menorah, heart, or even a 4-leaf clover! (Photo Credit: Carolina Moore)
That is it for this time - don't forget to answer the one click poll! And feel free to forward this to friends.

PS: I would like to pay $50 to five past attendees of QUILT2024's Summer Camp, willing to spend an hour of their time being interviewed by me on Zoom. I am doing a business course this month (Marie Forleo's B-School, very exciting!) and would like to get to know my audience better, so this is purely for my own research. If you have an hour to spare then simply reply to this email and let me know. Thanks!
