To support my family while staying home, I started a sewing school for kids when my youngest was six.
Over 15 years, I taught more than 400 children, ages 6 to 18, the joy of sewing. I created meaningful experiences for them through quilt and fashion shows and encouraged them to compete at the California State Fair, where many earned top awards. I also organized community service projects, like making quilts for preemie babies and dresses for a girls’ school in Ghana.
After 14 years, I loved my work but felt the need for a new purpose as my children grew up and left home. That’s when I met a life coach who completely transformed my perspective. The insights I gained changed my life in ways I never thought possible. It became clear that other women, just like me, needed to learn these simple but powerful truths about themselves too.
At 58, I became a certified life coach, starting my third career. For the past six years, I’ve been empowering women to find their transformations, just as I did.
You see, your brain is incredibly powerful and central to everything you achieve. The thoughts you hold in your mind drive all your actions and the results you create. Understanding and harnessing this power transforms the way we approach our quilting and our lives.
